Mister Mode Stallholder Feature: Meet Robert Golotta; T-shirt Designer inspired by themes of travel, culture, music and city night life.

August 20, 2012 - 4:05 pm
When a strive to stand out and an eye for success collide, you can be sure that amazing results are in store. Making his love for all things edgy and raw evident in his line, Robert Golotta gives guys at the market something to look forward to!
Inspired by innovative designers and his own unique perspectives of the everyday, the Collision Clothing range will definitely be enjoyed by modern Melbournian guys (and girls) who wish to stray from the norm, yet keep to the classic subtlety and comfort of the t-shirt. We love elements that combine familiarity with the unexpected, that celebrate the best of all worlds, and appease different tastes. We have to agree that Robert’s vision makes a collision of the best kind.
Thanks so much for this great interview, Rob, and welcome aboard the Mister Mode army! We’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled, and our guy friends steered in the right direction.

While out to dinner on a Friday night I was discussing marketing ideas with my girlfriend’s brother who also shares a passion for design. He told me about this amazing night fashion market that would offer great exposure for my t-shirt designs – The fashion market being Mister Mode.

Trendy statement pieces that are unique, edgy, raw and sophisticated.

I have always had a passion for fashion and a love of design. Through high school I was drawn to all the different styles of fashion and constantly found myself observing and interpreting other retail designs, every day I was inspired that I could bring something new and fresh to the table.

I am 27 and live in the south east of Melbourne. I am a very active person and enjoy working out at the gym 5 days a week. I love going out whether it’s to the movies, clubbing or catching up for coffee with friends. I absolutely love photography and you will frequently catch me with a camera in my hand. In addition to working on my clothing label Collision, I also work at a fashion distribution warehouse which provides me with an income to further expand my business and keep building my dream.

The Collision range suits all ages for any guy that wants to stand out from the crowd whether it be on the city streets, out on the town or simply hanging out at the local shop.

My inspiration (Muse) would have to be Mossimo Giannulli, founder of  “Mossimo”. I feel that we share similar attributes. We both started in our twenties and were striving for something bigger and better than the standard nine to five. We both share passion for design and innovative ideas which are derived from our lifestyle

In multiple outlets and boutique stores across the country and worldwide in major department stores.

I get a lot of inspiration from London Street fashion. I focus on edgy prints with themes that revolve around angels, religion, travel, culture, music and city night life.
