WHAT IS THIS A[WEAR] EVENT PARTY THAT I AM HEARING ALL ABOUT? Well, in light of yesterday’s post – I touched a little on good causes and how little importance people place on social community issues at present day. We hear about people actively trying to help out charities – awesome. We contribute $2 to the tin-man who walks pass a cafe I’m having lunch at – great. But what we’re choosing not to see is how we can help. Because what we dont see is how our time and contributions effect any sort of change in social issues.

No one bother’s too much because we don’t know what happens on the other end, right? Where does my money go? What does it do? Who does it help?

Well next Wednesday, the third year styling students of Whitehouse Institute are planning a great big party full of shopping, music and dance – All in aid of the Prahran Mission. 

The event is in support of the Prahran mission, who provides emergency relief services to those experiencing poverty, homeless and economic disadvantages, as well as rehabilition services to those experience mental illness and psychiatric disorders.

So I say, what better way than to get involved?

It’s time to get out of our careless behaviour and start supporting others who need our help. A[Wear] is a great solution to that problem where we can be social, mingle, drink, dance, shop all for a good cause – what a great way to convince this generation to start helping others.
