LAST FRIDAY, TRAPPED IN THE ZOO WAS HELD AT THE ATLANTIC IN CROWN AS A FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR SEVEN WOMEN NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATION. I was invited by Diya to be apart of this great event themed with a dresscode of: Elegance with a touch of wilderness. As you would have seen in my last post, I decided to experiment with Gold leaf and Feathers. I’m a big sucker for costume or themed parties, as I love getting creative with outfits.

I was excited to wear a Boutin Piece by a good friend and talented designer, Micah Boutin. The unique piece was a high collar leather bolero, definitely the piece that made my entire outfit of the night work.

I had a quick chat to Stephanie Woollard, the founder of Seven Women Foundation, who has spent the last 10 years in Nepal. Stephanie says, “We are a not for profit empowering marginalised and disabled women in Nepal through skills training and employment. Our public speaking engagements, fundraising events, donations and sales of goods raise the funds to grow this project”. It was a great heart warmer to hear what Stephanie has been doing in the last 10 years. At the event, Stephanie had gotten 10 Melbourne Designers to design animal toys for auction on the night. Pocketto magazine even sponsored a great piece of artwork too. The event was a success, with loads of friendly faces, and purchases of toys throughout the night. Congrats to Diya and Stephanie for their hardwork and effort to a good cause.

Troops! Remember that tomorrow night is the A[Wear] fundraising event held by Whitehouse Institute and Prahran Mission. A chance to shop, dance, drink and party with all of Melbourne’s fashion elite! There’s still time to get your tickets here.

Til then Troops!
